Would you like a free Bible?

I have been using Theophilos for several years now. I've tried other Bibles on the PC, but none were as easy to use or as fast as this one. Best of all, it is completely free.

Another option (if you can't download a Bible on the PC you are using) is this wonderful website:

Christian Persecution Update:

Judge Halts Bible Giveaway at Mo. School

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A federal judge ordered a small-town school to suspend a program that gives free Bibles to students, saying it improperly promotes Christianity.

U.S. District Court Judge Catherine Perry also scolded school officials for continuing the program after warnings that it violated the Constitution.

(Snip, more at link)

Perhaps Catherine Perry should spend some time reading the Constitution:

"The First Amendment to the Constitution plainly states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion ..." Since there can be no federal law on the subject, there appears to be no lawful basis for any element of the federal government – including the courts – to act in this area.

Moreover, the 10th Amendment to the Constitution plainly states that "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

This means that the power to make laws respecting an establishment of religion, having been explicitly withheld from the United States, is reserved to the states or to the people."

The Times-Journal

Published August 30, 2006

An Oklahoma preacher arrested and charged with violating the Fort Payne Alabama noise ordinance at a tent revival Sunday pleaded – but he says he was only guilty of praying.

Dwayne Blue, of Tusla, Okla., entered the plea in Fort Payne municipal court Monday. The court ordered Blue to pay a $50 fine, $173 in court costs, and imposed a 24-month sentence, suspended.

Police arrested Blue at the tent revival at 114 Airport Rd. SW., directly behind the Holiday Inn Express, around 10:41 p.m. on Sunday. Police reports showed Blue had been preaching, but Blue said he was closing the day’s services with prayer when officers arrested him.

Dr. Bill Grady's excellent new book "How Satan Turned America Against God" is in stores now!!!

So do yourself a favor and read this book. It is truly a must have for anyone who loves Israel and her God. What a wonderful job Dr. Grady has done in researching history and applying Bible truth to current events.

Product description:
How Satan Turned America Against God deals with negative reality as opposed to positive fantasy. It reveals America's main purpose for her existence, the tragic repudiation of that role and how Satan orchestrated the process. This book will afford the reader with an "understanding of the times...for such a time at this" (I Chronicles 12:32; Esther 4:14).Hardback, 972 pages. ISBN: 0-9628809-3-0

READER REVIEWS

Table of Contents

From the inside flap:

"This book is not about "hope." (One look at the front dust jacket makes that perfectly clear.) Neither is it a plea for national revival. It is not even a wake-up call to Pat Robertson's "Religious Right." Any movement that would follow a Yale-educated lawyer who can close his eyes and heal folks out in TV land is beyond help (ditto Jerry Falwell's resurrection of his ecumenical Moral Majority).

How Satan Turned America Against God was written to liberate an elect number of sincere believers who have fallen prey to the spirit of delusion prevailing in the last days. (II Timothy 3:13) Its one and only purpose is to reinforce a remnant; to "strengthen the things which remain" (Revelation 3:2)."

Read Chapter One
You will never be the same.

From a review at Amazon
"all thinking Christians should be thankful that a book such as this was penned."

Why does "dr. Bob attack David Cloud?

What a sad case we have here. Dr. Bob who is a preacher in WY that didn't go on deputation (and why would he need to in America?) slams Missionary and well respected author David Cloud for his report showing that there are more IFB missionaries than SBC missionaries.

Strange but True: Stephen Baldwin has a better testimony than Joel Osteen.

PR.com: What isolated me a little bit was that, I'm Jewish, I grew up Jewish, and I don't know that much about Christianity. The things I loved about your book are finding your humanity, focusing on spiritual things rather then material things and trying to serve the world and your community as best as you can. The thing that made me feel almost left out was the part about Christ being the only path to finding that sort of peace.

Stephen Baldwin: Right. Let me respond to that by saying this. According to what I believe, which is found in the bible, and obviously the chasm between the Jew and the Christian is pretty significant.

Understand, I say what I'm saying now only as a messenger, so to speak. And I say that loosely. If what I believe is true, that Jesus was the messiah, and if I believe that my faith is true, then every word in the bible's true, and if all that's true…and again, if it's true, Jesus is the only way and really what's become…the part of the purpose of the book for me is, God and my experience that I'm having in my faith. I really feel God speaking to me, and I don't mean I'm hearing some audible voice. I just mean in my spirit I feel God saying, "Stephen, you're a radical dude. Go be a radical for me, but don't sugar coat it. A lot of the Christian movement today is going to speak to whoever doesn't believe. Doesn't matter…Jew, Buddhist, Kabbalah…whatever it is. But these Christians today, they're kind of watering down what it's supposed to be all about.

You're supposed to lovingly, gently, as heartfelt and warmly as you can in most cases…and in some cases there's quite confrontational moments that I have with people. I just say, "Look. Don't shoot the messenger." I'm just saying that based on what I believe this is what God says is the truth. It wasn't until I personally started to embark on the experience that I came to believe that it was true and real. It's very interesting that you say, "I felt kind of left out." That's the point. I want you to feel left out. I want you to feel like you're missing something, because if what God is telling me about my faith and my experience is true, then you are missing something.
