Did Hillary Panic Over Obama and make a huge mistake? (An interesting read.)

"As many people know, I've spent many years in TV network news. I polled old friends and acquaintances today and with one exception, all agreed that Hillary Clinton’s announcement today that she is running for President (yawn) is a HUGE misstep.

First, she did it at a time guaranteed to get her minimum television exposure. The Saturday HUT (Homes Using Television) numbers are miniscule. When was the last time the Saturday Noon News was a “must see” for anyone?

In addition, anyone watching TV today or tomorrow is probably a man and he is tuned into sports. Not Hillary’s target audience!

She should have announced on 4:00 P.M on Thursday, after appearing earlier in the day on GMA, Today, CBSMN, and especially “The View” to coyly announce that she just might have something importance to announce “soon.”

By announcing at 4:00 on a Thursday, she would have been the lead story on all that evening’s newscasts. Thursday is often the second highest rated show of the week. Then she would have been topic #1 that night and all day Friday. She could have been back on the AM shows and The View on Friday, perhaps even a quick Oprah appearance. Friday night’s national news shows would have been all reaction stories, a visit to her hometown, etc. She would have owned 36 hours of prime TV.

As it is, she chose the absolutely worst time. The Sunday AM shows will be all over it, but no undecided voters watch those shows. She will get no mojo or movement from them. By Monday, it’s old news.

Next her method of announcement. She posted it as a statement on her website.

Idiotic.

She could have gathered 2000 screaming, sigh waving supporters on the Capitol steps, balloons, a band, etc. Could have been a huge hoop de do! CNN, FNC and others would have covered it live, etc. As it was, nothing! In the words of one senior editor, “She mailed it in!”

Next, she has based her campaign on “Stopping Bush.” That’s got about 30 days worth of legs. In addition, everything she says for the next 20 months will be seen as “political.” She just threw away any chance she had of being seen as a healer or “statesman” like. Politically, she just painted a huge target on her back. Every time she says word one on any issue, an “independent” third party spokesperson can rake her over the coals, and the Republicans can stay above it all.

Finally, everyone sees it for what it is. She panicked over Obama.

He is a 60 day flash in the pan, this year’s Weasley Clark or Howard Dean. America is not about to elect a Black, Muslim-trained, admitted cocaine-using man President, no matter how good he looks on TV… this month.

The media loves him…. this month. The media that loves him now will fill the air with “investigative stories” about him next month. By April at the latest, he will be very old news

Bottom line on that issue; Hillary stood eye to eye against a totally non-electable presidential candidate…. from her own party…. and she blinked!

Mark Halperin at ABC is gushing over her announcement, but everyone else is saying “Huh?”

Another said, "She has been planning this for 20 or 30 years, and this is her best shot!?!?" "What's next, shooting Santa Claus on Christmas Eve?"

This one STINKS "Interfaith pilgrimage challenges prejudices"

"The Rev. Wanda Gail Campbell, a minister of peace, [heretic] thinks of herself as one of the most tolerant, respectful, open-minded people she knows. [Except she obviously hates Fundamentalist.]

So it was with shock last summer, as she entered the shrine to the Virgin Mary at Lourdes, France, that she realized some deep prejudices against Catholics were bubbling up from her Southern fundamentalist upbringing."

Hillary Questions Obama's Muslim Religion Cover Up

"Are the American people ready for an elected president who was educated in a Madrassa as a young boy and has not been forthcoming about his Muslim heritage?

This is the question Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s camp is asking about Sen. Barack Obama.

An investigation of Mr. Obama by political opponents within the Democratic Party has discovered that Mr. Obama was raised as a Muslim by his stepfather in Indonesia. Sources close to the background check, which has not yet been released, said Mr. Obama, 45, spent at least four years in a so-called Madrassa, or Muslim seminary, in Indonesia.

"He was a Muslim, but he concealed it," the source said. "His opponents within the Democrats hope this will become a major issue in the campaign."

When contacted by Insight, Mr. Obama’s press secretary said he would consult with “his boss” and call back. He did not.

Sources said the background check, conducted by researchers connected to Senator Clinton, disclosed details of Mr. Obama's Muslim past.
The sources said the Clinton camp concluded the Illinois Democrat concealed his prior Muslim faith and education."

[Carlos Bedoya]Deltona priest accused in sexual battery

By SARA KIESLER
Staff Writer

DELTONA -- A shock wave is rippling through the close-knit Deltona family at St. Clare Catholic Church in the wake of a complaint that its pastor participated in sexual battery against a man.

According to a complaint filed with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, the Rev. Carlos Bedoya, 44, invited a 35-year-old man to his home on church grounds to have lunch and "cocktails." He proceeded to restrain the man while David Estrada, a 24-year-old priest-in-training, performed a sex act on the man, the complaint states.

Religious bloggers, broadcasters could face a $200,000 fine

"The ethics bill before the Senate not only cracks down on lawmakers, but also subjects politically active ministers and neighborhood groups to the same rules as K Street lobbyists.
Under the legislation, grass-roots organizations that attempt to "influence the general public" to contact members of Congress would have to register as lobbyists and file financial reports -- or face a $200,000 fine. The requirements could apply to a preacher who goes on TV or radio and tells listeners to call their congressman in support of a particular issue, such as a constitutional amendment against homosexual "marriage."

Insurer to Investigate Vermont Diocese's Handling of Priest Sex Abuse

"An insurance company for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington wants to investigate the church's conduct in 27 cases of alleged child sex abuse by a former priest before paying the costs of litigation associated with them.

The state's Roman Catholic church has sued its insurer demanding it pay its legal fees.

In court papers filed last week, the Minnesota-based United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co. requested a review of how much the diocese knew about allegations that former priest Ed Paquette had sexually abused alter boys in two states before he came to Vermont.

The Diocese agreed to permit the investigation as long as the information remained confidential."

[There is a large paper trail concerning this priest. He is also accused of teaching students about "Black Mass"]

Priest case may go back further (Amount embezzled could be more than $1 million)

"Investigators looking into a Louisa County priest accused of embezzling money from two rural churches believe the scheme goes back longer than the six years written on the indictment.
Rodney Lee Rodis, 50, was indicted Jan. 8 on one count of embezzlement. Rodis had been pastor at St. Jude Catholic Church in Mineral and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Buckner between 1993 and May 2006.

(Snip)

Rodney Rodis' name appears on Spotsylvania land records regarding the Watson Lane house as far back as November 2001. A form dated May 26, 2006, showed that Rodis and Sillador paid off the last $76,000 owed on the house.
Detectives who searched the Watson Lane home found a "Lucky Money" receipt dated May 24, 2006, according to court documents. Lucky Money allows people to wire money between the U.S. and the Philippines.
Rodis, a native and citizen of the Philippines, retired from the two Louisa churches around the time the mortgage was paid off and the receipt was formulated.
Neighbors said Rodis had traveled to the Philippines. Etherington said he was in the U.S. on a religious worker's visa that expires in 2015. Rodis surrendered his passport to make bond.
One neighbor said that Rodis planned to return to the Philippines in a few years. He wanted to build a big house there, and run for mayor and, later, president.

Mac Brunson's Pastor's Conference to feature Steve Gaines AND Jerry Falwell

In spite of Steve Gaines problems at Bellevue Baptist and his confession of covering up a confirmed and admitted case of sexual molestation, Mac Brunson has invited Gaines to speak at the Pastor's Conference sponsored by First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

It has also been announced that the Reverend Jerry Falwell will be joining his Southern Baptist brethren as a conference speaker.

What does Obama's current "church" believe?

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.

Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:

Commitment to God
Commitment to the Black Community
Commitment to the Black Family
Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

More Details about Barack Obama

Out2.com's independent contrarian columnist, Andy Martin, will publish a column and hold simultaneous news conferences in New York and London on Wednesday, August 11th to disclose he believes Barack Obama is a political fraud who "lied to the American people." Martin has asked Crown Books to stop sales of Obama's book because of its fraudulent content. Martin says Obama may be a threat to the Jewish community.

"I feel sad having to expose Barack Obama," says Martin, "but the man is a complete fraud. The truth is going to surprise, and disappoint, and outrage many people who were drawn to him. He has lied to the American people, and he has sought to misrepresent his own heritage.

"Obama's life story is vastly different from the one he portrays. My point: if he will lie about his mother and father, what else is he lying about? Can we expect 'bimbo eruptions?'

"Fiction: Obama stated in his Convention speech: 'My father ... grew up herding goats.' The 'goat herder' claim has been repeated endlessly. It is a lie. Fact: Obama's grandfather, Hussein Onyango Obama was a prominent and wealthy farmer. His son, Obama's father, was a child of privilege, not privation. He was an outstanding student, not a herdsman.

"Fiction: Obama was given an 'African' name. Fact: Obama is a Muslim who has concealed his religion. I am a strong supporter of the Muslim community, and I believe Muslims have been scapegoated. Obama has a great opportunity to be forthright. Instead, he has treated his Muslim heritage as a dark secret. His grandfather was named 'Hussein.' That is an Arabic-Muslim, not African, name. Hussein was a devout Muslim and named his son, Barack Senior, 'Baraka.' Baraka is an Arabic word meaning 'blessed.' Baraka comes out of the Koran and Arabic, not Africa.

"Barack Senior was also a devoted Muslim, and also chose a Muslim name for his son, our own Barack Obama, Junior. Again, his name was an Arabic and Koranic.

Obama has spent a lifetime running from his family heritage and religious heritage. Would his father have given his son a Koranic name if the father was not a devout Muslim? Obama's stepfather was also a Muslim. Obama will be the first Muslim-heritage senator; he should be proud of that fact. There is nothing to be ashamed of in any of the three great Abrahamic religions.

"Fiction: Obama Senior was a harmless student 'immigrant' who came to the United States only to study. Fact: Obama was part of one of the most corrupt and violent organizations in Africa: the Kenyatta regime. Obama's father ran back to Kenya soon after the British left. It is likely Obama's father had Mau Mau sympathies or connections, or he would not have been welcomed into the murderous inner circle of rapists, murderers, and arsonists. I believe Obama's secret shame at his family history of rape, murder and arson is what actualizes him. Our research is not yet complete. We are seeking to examine British colonial records. Our investigation to date has drawn on information on three continents.

"And what about Obama's beloved Kenyan brothers and sisters? None of his family was invited to Boston to share his prominence. Are his relatives being kept in the closet? Where are they? More secrecy, more prevarication.

"It is time for Barack Obama to stop presenting a fantasy to the American people. We are forgiving and many would still support him. It may well be that his concealment is meant to endanger Israel. His Muslim religion would obviously raise serious questions in many Jewish circles where Obama now enjoys support," Martin states.

"Our investigation is continuing. In he meantime, Crown Books should stop selling Obama's novelization of his life. We have asked Crown to do that. Obama is living a lie."

"There was the Catholic Church and everything else was hell......"

"In recent decades, more than 10,000 children reportedly were sexually abused by Catholic priests in the United States. From behind the headlines, filmmaker Joe Cultrera tells the very personal story of how the crisis affected his own family in Salem, Mass. It is the intimate story of how his brother, Paul, was molested in the 1960s by Father Joseph Birmingham, who also reportedly abused nearly 100 other children. Paul Cultrera would keep his secret for 30 years until he decided to finally confront the church and launched his own investigation into how the Archdiocese of Boston had covered up allegations against Father Birmingham and moved the priest from parish to parish, placing more and more children in danger. In a sometimes raw and emotional film, the Cultrera family tells their story of faith betrayed by the scandal that has engulfed the Catholic Church."

SBC officials reject Carter, unity talk, but not all Southern Baptists join chorus

By Greg Warner

ATLANTA -- Southern Baptist officials harshly rejected Jimmy Carter's effort to unite all Baptists in North America under a compassion agenda, calling the ambitious plan "voodoo ecumenism" and a thinly veiled Democratic strategy to woo values voters.

But other Southern Baptists, including some reform-minded younger conservatives, called the SBC response un-Christ-like and prejudicial criticism from "fundamentalist elites."

Dr. Tom Malone graduated to Heaven on January 7, 2007

"Dr. Thomas Lloyd (Tom) Malone, 91, graduated to Heaven on January 7, 2007. Pastor Emeritus of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pontiac, Michigan and founder of Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, Dr. Malone, one of America’s best known and beloved Baptist preachers, had been in declining health for the past five years.

A graduate of Bob Jones College, he also earned a PHD. (cum laude) at Wayne State University of Detroit.

For more than fifty years Dr. Malone was one of the most sought after pulpiteers in the world. Featured regularly on almost every national platform in independent Baptist circles, and a regular guest in the pulpit of every large fundamental church in America, he was a master craftsman in the preparation of sermons and a prince of preachers at the time of the sermon’s delivery. Dr. John R. Rice often referred to him as “perhaps the greatest pulpiteer of his generation.”

A member of the board of the Sword of the Lord Publishers since 1958, he also authored a dozen books which have had a worldwide circulation.

The Fr. is a Father?

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) - A priest suspected of stealing more than $600,000 from two churches denies accusations in court documents that he was living a double life as a family man in a neighboring county.

"Father" Rodney L. Rodis, 50, acknowledged that there is a woman and three girls that live at the home, but denied he was married and declined to comment if the children were his daughters, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported Sunday. Rodis also said the woman he lives with knew he was a Catholic priest. (More details at the link above!)

Guest Editorial: REALLY Solving the Problems in New Orleans

The march in New Orleans demanding lower crime would be laughable if
it weren't so unbelievably blind on the part of the protesters.

New Orleans prides itself on living in sin.
It glories in
drunkenness and sexual immorality. It parades its debauchery and
sells it to hungry tourists who come there to indulge the flesh.

I have a message to those protesting. Sin begets crime. Drunkenness
causes fights, murders, wrecks, broken homes and evil deeds too
numerous to mention. Sexual immorality breeds disease, abortion,
wrecked marriages and confusion and turmoil.

Righteousness, on the other hand, breeds decency. You want lower
crime? Repent of your sin and purge it from your midst. Or, live in
wickedness and reap the fruit. It's that simple. It really is.

Isaiah: 56:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

TRACING THE HISTORY OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH AND ITS PERSECUTION OF THE BIBLE AND OF BIBLE BELIEVERS

On December 8, 1854, Pope Pius IX issued the bull Ineffabilis Deus, which proclaimed the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. In 1899 the Pontifical Press published a book entitled Manual of Indulgences, which proclaimed: "The Virgin Mary, immaculate and always pure, never required to expiate even the shadow of an imperfection, having been always more holy than Cherubim and Seraphim." Thus the Vatican press was busy publishing books glorifying Mary, but it was doing nothing to publish the Holy Scriptures.

Writing in 1903, Alexander Robertson, who long resided in Italy, made the following observations:

On May 18, 1849, SOME THREE THOUSAND COPIES OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, ACCORDING TO THE MARTINI VERSION, WERE SEIZED AND DESTROYED IN TUSCANY. Priests have told me that even they were not allowed to possess a Martini Bible without the Papal consent, and that the very fact of applying for such consent would bring them under suspicion, and so damage their prospects in the Church. Therefore, they said, 'WE HAVE NO BIBLES.'

"This is the first history ever published which details the relationship of the Roman Catholic Church to the Bible through the centuries. The author has spent thousands of dollars obtaining rare documents relevant to this history (such as a 1641 edition of Foxe's unabridged Acts and Monuments and researched the topic in important theological libraries in Canada, America, and England, including the British Library. The book covers the Roman Catholic Inquisition from the 11th to the 19th centuries, particularly the role played by the Inquisition to keep translations of the Bible out of the hands of the common people. It contains the history of ancient separated Christians, including the Waldensians and the Lollards. The book could also be titled "The Bible Through the Centuries." It gives the history of the English Bible from John Wycliffe to William Tyndale, and the history of the Spanish, German, French, and Italian Bibles. It contains amazing biographies of royal queens who loved the Bible. It gives the decade-by-decade details of papal condemnations of 19th-century Bible societies and of Roman Catholic persecution in the 19th century. It describes the 20th-century phenomenon of Rome changing tactics and joining hands with the Bible societies. It documents the similarities between the Lat in Vulgate and the modern versions. It answers the question: Has the Roman Catholic Church changed? The book contains 95 illustrations from rare out-of-print books. Click here for more information

Money and the Rise of the Modern Papacy: Financing the Vatican 1850-1950

"Cambridge historian John Pollard, in his recent and superlative book, Money and the Rise of the Modern Papacy: Financing the Vatican 1850-1950, has shown that the papacy as we know it, that is, an institution exercising universal jurisdiction over a global flock, is a distinctly modern creation whose contemporary clout is due in large part to two major developments in the last 150 years: the "Peter's Pence" fund, skillfully exploited to get donations sent directly to Rome; and the Lateran Treaty of 1929, which at a stroke wiped out the Vatican's debt and gave it the freedom to exist independently and thus appoint its own men everywhere -- even when there was no local threat requiring its outside intervention."

Obama: Because of his callous disregard for innocent life,

Obama speaking at the American Islam Congress.

"Because of his callous disregard for innocent life, Obama lacks the moral credibility to speak on life issues," Newman said. "There are some things that just cannot be excused with a disclaimer, and support for abortion is one of them."

"We find it distressing that Mr. Warren could attempt to defend his pro-life position while giving little more than lip service to the deaths of over 126,000 babies that die from abortion each day worldwide," Newman said. "The AIDS pandemic pales in comparison to the abortion holocaust."

Jimmy Carter states that Christian fundamentalist view their opponents as "sub-human"

SPIEGEL: One main points of your book is the rather strange coalition between Christian fundamentalists and the Republican Party. How can such a coalition of the pious lead to moral catastrophes like the Iraqi prison scandal in Abu Ghraib and torture in Guantanamo?

Carter:
The fundamentalists believe they have a unique relationship with God, and that they and their ideas are God's ideas and God's premises on the particular issue. Therefore, by definition since they are speaking for God anyone who disagrees with them is inherently wrong. And the next step is: Those who disagree with them are inherently inferior, and in extreme cases -- as is the case with some fundamentalists around the world -- it makes your opponents sub-humans, so that their lives are not significant. Another thing is that a fundamentalist can't bring himself or herself to negotiate with people who disagree with them because the negotiating process itself is an indication of implied equality. And so this administration, for instance, has a policy of just refusing to talk to someone who is in strong disagreement with them -- which is also a radical departure from past history. So these are the kinds of things that cause me concern. And, of course, fundamentalists don't believe they can make mistakes, so when we permit the torture of prisoners in Guantanamo or Abu Ghraib, it's just impossible for a fundamentalist to admit that a mistake was made.

14 Carter Center Board members resign, including former ambassador

Fourteen members of an advisory board to Jimmy Carter's human rights organization resigned on Thursday to protest his new book in which he vitriolically attacks Israel and plagiarizes the work of other writers.

"The resignation of these Carter Center advisers come with the note that they believe in his book, "Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid," Carter has voiced support for terrorist violence against Israel in order to change Israeli policy. The advisers also say Carter has emboldened the anti-Semitism of white supremacist groups." (John Gibson)

The release of the book also prompted Emory University Professor Ken Stein to resign from his position as a fellow at the Carter Center.

In his resignation letter, Mr. Stein wrote: "President Carter's book on the Middle East, a title too inflammatory to even print, is not based on unvarnished analysis; it is replete with factual errors, copied materials not cited, superficialities, glaring omissions, and simply invented segments."

In other Jimmy Carter news, he has chosen himself and serial adulterer Bill Clinton to lead a new liberal "baptist" movement.

Church Sex Abuse Victims Can Sue Vatican

(AP) Sex abuse victims can pursue damages from the Vatican in a lawsuit alleging top church officials failed to report known or suspected cases of child abuse, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge John G. Heyburn II allows three men to pursue negligence claims against the Vatican over allegations of sexual abuse by priests in the Archdiocese of Louisville.

The case is the first sexual abuse lawsuit to name the Vatican as sole defendant.

The men alleged that the Vatican knew or suspected some of its priests or bishops were child molesters, but failed to warn the public or local authorities about them because of a policy prohibiting it.
The lawsuit claims the Vatican was negligent for failing to notify law enforcement officials or the public.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.

Heyburn had previously dismissed parts of the lawsuit that sought damages for sex abuse allegations outside the United States.

William McMurry, the Louisville-based attorney for the three men, said the ruling opens the way to take depositions of Vatican officials and to get copies of church records and documents.

"It's historic," McMurry said. "Our whole purpose is to hold the Vatican accountable.".

McMurry is seeking to have the suit certified as a class-action case, alleging that "several thousand" victims exist across the United States. McMurry represented 243 sex abuse victims that settled with the Archdiocese of Louisville in 2003 for $25.3 million.

One of the three plaintiffs suing the Vatican is Michael Turner of Louisville, who also filed the first lawsuit against the Archdiocese of Louisville. Turner alleged he was molested by the Rev. Louis E. Miller in the 1970s while attending St. Aloysius Church in Pewee Valley.

Miller was removed from the priesthood last year by the late Pope John Paul II after pleading guilty in 2003 to sexually abusing children in Jefferson and Oldham counties. He is serving a 13-year prison sentence.

The other two plaintiffs, James H. O'Bryan and Donald E. Poppe, have not settled with any diocese, McMurry has said. Both live in California and allege that they were abused by priests while growing up in Louisville.

O'Bryan contends he was abused by a "Father Lawrence" at St. Cecilia Church in western Louisville in 1928. An archdiocesan spokeswoman has said a Rev. Lawrence Kuntz worked at St. Cecelia from 1928 to 1935 and died in 1952.

Poppe alleges he was molested by the Rev. Arthur Wood, who died in 1983 and was named as an abuser by 39 plaintiffs who settled with the archdiocese.

Jimmy Carter accepts MILLIONS from Arab Financiers

Recent disclosures prove that it is Carter who has been bought and paid for by anti-Israel Arab and Islamic money.
Journalist Jacob Laksin has documented the tens of millions of dollars that the Carter Center has accepted from Saudi Arabian royalty and assorted other Middle Eastern sultans, who, in return, Carter dutifully praised as peaceful and tolerant (no matter how despotic the regime). And these are only the confirmed, public donations.

Carter has also accepted half a million dollars and an award from Sheik Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan, saying in 2001: "This award has special significance for me because it is named for my personal friend, Sheik Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan." This is the same Zayed, the long-time ruler of the United Arab Emirates, whose $2.5 million gift to the Harvard Divinity School was returned in 2004 due to Zayed's rampant Jew-hatred. Zayed's personal foundation, the Zayed Center, claims that it was Zionists, rather than Nazis, who “were the people who killed the Jews in Europe” during the Holocaust. It has held lectures on the blood libel and conspiracy theories about Jews and America perpetrating Sept. 11.
Another journalist, Rachel Ehrenfeld, in a thorough and devastating article on "Carter’s Arab Financiers," meticulously catalogues Carter’s ties to Arab moneymen, from a Saudi bailout of his peanut farm in 1976, to funding for Carter’s presidential library, to continued support for all manner of Carter’s post-presidential activities. For instance, it was the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), founded in Pakistan and fronted by a Saudi billionaire, Gaith Pharaon, that helped Carter start up his beloved Carter Center. According to Ehrenfeld:

“BCCI's origins were primarily ideological. [Agha Hasan] Abedi wanted the bank to reflect the supra-national Muslim credo and ‘the best bridge to help the world of Islam, and the best way to fight the evil influence of the Zionists.’
As Ehrenfeld concluded:
“[I]t seems that AIPAC's real fault was its failure to outdo the Saudi's purchases of the former president's loyalty. There has not been any nation in the world that has been more cooperative than Saudi Arabia," The New York Times quoted Mr. Carter June 1977, thus making the Saudis a major factor in U. S. foreign policy.

”Evidently, the millions in Arab petrodollars feeding Mr. Carter's global endeavors, often in conflict with U.S. government policies, also ensure his loyalty.” Author: Alan DershowitzSource: The Family Security Matters Foundation, Inc.

Tammy Faye believes Larry King is headed for Heaven

King asked Tammy Faye : "So you believe that [you are] going to go to heaven ?"

"I believe I am. I’m counting on it. As hot as it’s been lately, I sure don’t want to go to hell.

"Do you believe you’re going to go to heaven ? " King asked.

"Yes, sir. Larry, you know I do. And I believe you’re going to go to heaven, too."

"I’ll see you there," King said.

In the same interview, Larry converses with Tammy and Jim Bakker's son, JAY BAKKER

Bakker said he would marry homosexuals in his church, if the laws passed.
KING : You favor there being a law, though ?

JAY BAKKER : Yes, I do. I think they deserve equal rights just as much as anybody else does. And I think it’s — it’s such a big social issue right now, it’s something that really needs to be looked at and I think passed.

Jay Bakker goes on to state that "I don’t feel like we’re called to judge people, especially people outside of the church. And so we don’t do a lot of that."

He does however go on to show his doublemindedness by making this strange judgement against fundamentalists by saying, "...there’s some of the guys who are kind of old school and still worrying about fictitional characters being gay and pointing the fingers at people, and almost creating a moralistic club, you know, that you have to be very moral to be in our private country club."

Bakker said he didn’t believe in taking the Bible literally and credits Billy Graham with helping him come to that position.

"Not completely, because I think we’ve had so many poor translations. And unless we’re doing really, really in-depth studies do we know what the word is saying. And I think there’s, you know, in the Old Testament that were stories to explain what happened, rather than being this literal text. I found it very interesting that I saw Billy Graham in "Newsweek" actually say a similar thing."

Catholic Archbishop Mahony embraces Homosexuality

"See in the fish pin a sign of recognition of our lesbian and gay sisters and brothers. The pin signals solidarity with all people of faith who promote justice and inclusivity for every person in their faith communities.

In 2006 we celebrated our 20th anniversary of this ministry. The Ministry with Lesbian and Gay Catholics was founded by Cardinal Roger Mahony on February 4, 1986 and is supported throughout the Archdiocese at parish level a an active outreach ministry with gay and lesbian Catholics, their parents, families and friends.

The Ministry With Lesbian and Gay Catholics (MLGC) recognizes that all persons with a homosexual orientation are capable of living a full Catholic life in union with all the members of the Church.

MLGC has as its primary goal "to foster a spirit of community and fellowship among gay Catholics so that they can offer and receive mutual support in living our their lives of faith with the Church." (Archbishop Roger Mahony, (2-2-86).

In 1993, Mahony helped fund and produce the video A Journey for Understanding Gays and Lesbians in the Church. The video affirmed that there was nothing wrong with any “gay” or lesbian person whatsoever, that “being gay was a blessing and a gift,” and had “something prophetic toward remodeling the Church”.

Pope calls for pagan leaders and their traditions to be given roles of leadership

VATICAN CITY (AP) -- Religious leaders of all faiths must play a role in ensuring that the spiritual and cultural aspects of life are not forgotten as mankind tackles the challenges of globalization, Pope Benedict XVI said Saturday.

The pope said that while politicians, scientists and researchers play important roles in the modern world, "today, more than ever, it is necessary to place at their side the leaders of the great non-Christian religious traditions" as well as Christian leaders.

New Warsaw Archbishop Resigns and admits Communist Spying & Collaboration but his followers blame "The Jews"

WARSAW, Jan. 7 — The newly appointed archbishop of Warsaw, Stanislaw Wielgus, abruptly resigned on Sunday during a Mass meant to celebrate his new position after having admitted two days earlier that he had worked with the Polish Communist-era secret police....

Moments before he was to symbolically ascend to his new place in the church hierarchy by taking his seat on the archbishop’s throne at St. John’s Cathedral in Warsaw, Bishop Wielgus read from a letter he had sent Pope Benedict XVI earlier in the day offering his resignation “after reflecting deeply and assessing my personal situation.”
A roar of shock arose from the crowd inside the cathedral and stunned many people watching the proceedings live on television. The Vatican had announced the resignation a half hour earlier, though few had heard the news.
Outside the cathedral, scuffles erupted between supporters and detractors of the bishop among the hundreds of Catholics gathered beneath umbrellas in the rain.

Some of his supporters shouted that “Jews” were trying to destroy the church.

Anti-Semitism, long present in Poland, is a particular problem within some conservative branches of the Polish Catholic church.

30 Years a Communist Spy

On Wednesday, Polish weekly "Gazeta Polska" published an article in which it said Wielgus had worked as a police informant with the code name "Adam" from the end of the 1960s to January 1990.

Don't Worry folks, the True Gospel is still being preached in Poland.

Embezzlement Is Found in 85% of Catholic Dioceses

"More than four out of five U.S. dioceses have experienced embezzlement or other misuse of parish funds within the past five years, but only two-fifths have formal written fraud policies, two Villanova University researchers said. Villanova business school professors Robert West and Charles Zech reported that according to a national survey of chief diocesan financial officers 21 percent said the diocese "seldom or never" audits parish finances and only 3 percent said such audits are conducted every year. "

Or course, the money that isn't stolen by sticky fingered staff is is being used to pay off the poor victims of the massive Catholic homosexual child molestation scandal.
