IFB pastor turns in attempted rapist

It's pretty sickening that people would get on the internet and use their neurosis from the past to try and brand all pastors on Independent Baptist churches (IFB) as abusers and worse. It's almost criminal that those same people would parade themselves online and claim as 'fact' that "NOT ONE IFB PASTOR ANYWHERE HAS EVER REPORTED OR REBUKED SEXUAL SINS."

It boggles the mind that people like that, (and trust me, fringe though they are, they do exist) keep making those ludicrous remarks and using their lies to attack good people.

I personally know a pastor who found out about a molestation situation with a family in the church. He called the police within minutes of finding out. That was well over ten years ago. That man went to prison. Don't know where he is now, but when I knew those people, the pastor and his wife had been very helpful to this family, starting with reporting the crime.

I'm sure there are many more situations like that. And today comes the news that an Independent fundamentalist Baptist preacher again did the right thing.

Police: Porn-driven hotel rape attempt confessed to pastor

"According to an incident report, when McCall left the hotel after the attempted assault, he went to see the Pastor Danny Moore of Zion Hill Baptist Church and told him what he had done.

The report said Moore persuaded McCall to return to the hotel and the pastor accompanied him back to the hotel."

Make no mistake: Any abuse should be reported. That's not even a question.  And I stand with Bro. David Cloud in saying that I am sick and tired of ANY pastor who covers up and fellowships with heretics and abusers. Report those men who are wolves in the church and get rid of them.

And it should also be reported when people do the RIGHT THING.
