From the article: "A concerned parent, McGrath said, notified them of a possible student-teacher relationship. School officials contacted the Jefferson County Department of Human Resources and notified the school's attorney. The legal counsel, McGrath said, in turn hired a private investigator who helped in the probe.
Once they determined that the allegations appeared credible, McGrath said, they contacted the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. The 25-year-old male teacher, whose name hasn't been released, resigned, according to school and sheriff's office officials.
