Dan Burrell jumps ship

...Or walks the plank, whichever the case may be.

"We've been visiting Northside Baptist Church for the last few weeks and think we like it. We both really enjoy the pastor. We are not crazy about the music style most of the time, however. It is a fundamental church, but quite contemporary in its style of worship. We enjoyed the couples Sunday School class we went to this Sunday. They are going through a book about family and couple issues. It was interesting and seemed to be a good group...During the morning service, we were stunned to hear the Pastor, Dan Burrell, announce that he was resigning. He let the church know that his last Sunday would be September 1st. Apparently, there are some issues going on and some are not happy with him."
