14 Carter Center Board members resign, including former ambassador

Fourteen members of an advisory board to Jimmy Carter's human rights organization resigned on Thursday to protest his new book in which he vitriolically attacks Israel and plagiarizes the work of other writers.

"The resignation of these Carter Center advisers come with the note that they believe in his book, "Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid," Carter has voiced support for terrorist violence against Israel in order to change Israeli policy. The advisers also say Carter has emboldened the anti-Semitism of white supremacist groups." (John Gibson)

The release of the book also prompted Emory University Professor Ken Stein to resign from his position as a fellow at the Carter Center.

In his resignation letter, Mr. Stein wrote: "President Carter's book on the Middle East, a title too inflammatory to even print, is not based on unvarnished analysis; it is replete with factual errors, copied materials not cited, superficialities, glaring omissions, and simply invented segments."

In other Jimmy Carter news, he has chosen himself and serial adulterer Bill Clinton to lead a new liberal "baptist" movement.
